JEE Main Result 2020 (JEE Main 2020 Result): National Testing Agency (NTA) will release JEE Main 2020 result on 4th February 2020 at jeemain.nic.in. Google also offers to access the JEE Main result 2020 on the search page itself, but it’s available for a short time.
Approximately 1.3 million candidates appeared for the JEE Main 2020 exam, which was successfully conducted by NTA between 06th January 2020 to 20th Jan 2020 in 8 different sittings across country. However, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) would conduct JEE Advanced exam as per schedule. The JEE Main exam will also be an eligibility test for the JEE Advanced and it was scheduled in May 2020.
How to Check JEE Main Result 2020
- Step 1: Visit the JEE Main official website jeemain.nic.in or you can also check it on on Google’s search engine result page.
- Step 2: Select the link “JEE Main Result 2020 – Score of Paper 1”
- Step 3: Enter the roll number and date of birth.
- Step 4: Click on the submit button, then your JEE Main 2020 result will appear on the screen with score.
- Step 5 : Take a printout, if needed it for further reference in the future.

This entrance exam is hosted for the 23 Indian Institute of Technologies (IIT’s), 31 National Institute of Technology (NIT’s) and 20 GFTI’s along with the reputed state government institutions which provide students to pursue undergraduate engineering courses and the planning and architecture courses as well which facilitate the students in their area of interest pertaining to the core engineering courses.

JEE Main 2020 counselling will organize by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) from the first week of July. Based on the rank obtained by candidate, he/she should select any undergraduate engineering course in NITs, IIITs and other available institutions.

JEE Main Results will announce likely on 4, Feb 2020. Earlier the exam conducted in 130+ centers across the country from January 6 to January 20, 2020. JEE Mains Result 2020 will release in 2 parts: They are,
- Part I: Candidates marks (score) of paper I will release on 04, February 2018.
- Part II: All India Rank (AIR) and merit list of paper II to be published in May 2018.
Shortlisted candidates in the JEE Main exam will get an admission to undergraduate engineering courses at National Institutes of Technology (NIT), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT) and other centrally-funded technical institutions (CFTI).
JEE Main Statistics:
According to the JEE Main statistics from the official source, as shown in chart and table, the number of test takers dropping from the past 3 years. 887432 boys and 307502 girls are registered for JEE Main exam in 2016, it’s clearly indicating that the boys are much interested than girls to appearing for the exam. Out of 1186000 candidates who registered for JEE Main 2017, about 72.2% boys and 27.8% girls registered for the exam. However, In 2018, it is expected to register over 1.1 million candidates for JEE Main exam.
JEE Main Cut off 2020 : SC/ST/OBC/General Candidates
Students can check expected JEE Main Cut off 2020 marks for General, OBC, SC and ST categories in the following table. This table also illustrates the previous years (2018 and 2017) official cut off marks declared by JEE Apex board.
As per the data, the cut off marks for general category candidates declined gradually and it was expected to 87 in 2020. At the same time OBC (other backward communities – non creamy layer ) candidates cut off marks are constant and sicked at 55 without any fluctuations.
However, for Scheduled Castes (SC) the cut-off decreased to 32 from 52 last year (2018).
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Apex Board for admission to various undergraduate engineering programmes in NIT’s and IIIT’s will monitor the exam process and announce cut off marks too after declaration of results.
