Grant Medical College (GMC), Mumbai foundation is established long back in 1845 and is a State Government Medical College situated in 44 acres of land with 46 buildings. This college is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in Nasik. It is one of the top ten colleges.
4. Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College (LTMMC), Mumbai:
This College ranks in the list and being established in 1964 has the latest infrastructure with 13 courses and is also approved by the medical council of India. This college contains research lab and all the amenities required for their students.
5. Dr. DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai
Established in 2002, and is a private college with good campus and infrastructure with hostel facility for students. Though newly established, it stands on 11th rank with 41 courses for the students. This university has the capacity of 100 students and is foremost Ayurved College in Maharashtra where the medium of instruction is English.

The privately owned college is established in 1996 ranks 12th. The students have the option of 10 courses to select the stream they want to go into. This private College in the State of Maharashtra is the first college having MCI approval to increase the capacity of intake of MBBS Course from 100 to 150 students in the year 2003 and then in 2012 from 150 to 250 within the short span of time.

10. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Wardha
A private organization established this College in 1990. The college is ranked 24 and has eight courses facilities for their students. It has all the facilities required for their students, and the college has good infrastructure and amenities. This college has 200 MBBS seats and 120 PG seats for different courses.
